Q – DO YOU KNOW ANY CULTURAL INSTRUMENTS?
A – Yes, Bongos & Congas originate from Africa and are from the percussion family of instruments. The Samba is a South American drum and is used in Brazilian Music.
Q – HAVE YOU PLAYED THEM? IF YOU HAVE TELL US SOME FACTS?
A – I have played these drums.
FACTS You use your hands to play the drums. The drums have 3 types of sounds. They range from high to low sounds depending on which part of your hand you use. Using a flat palm in the middle creates the low bass sound Using the tip of your fingers in the middle of the drum creates a full mid sound.Using the tip of your fingers on the edge of the drum creates a high hollow sound.
Q – WHAT INSTRUMENTS DO YOU KNOW THAT ARE FROM YOUR HOME COUNTRY?
A – Some Australian instruments are the Didgeridoo, The Wobble board, The Clap Stick/Claves. The clapstick or clave is also a South American instrument that was found to come from both Australia & South America.
Q – WHAT DO THEY USE TO MAKE INSTRUMENTS?
A – Stringed Instruments such Guitar, Violin and Cello use a lot of the same materials such as wood (Mahogany, Ash & Maple) and metal strings.
